Current Layout
Title: RAGE
Featuring: Gale Harold & Randy Harrison
Life: June 18, 2008
Color Scheme: White and Blue/Green
About: This photo shoot is pretty much amazing. It was taken for the benefit of the artists who created the Rage comic book (a fictional comic from the show Queer As Folk, in which the characters in it were based off of characters on the show). I'm so in love with Rage that it's ridiculous. I wish they would have released all of the comic books for sale, and they so should have made a movie. I would be there at the premier!

Title: Cliffhanger
Featuring: Hayden Christensen
Life: April 20, 2008 - June 18, 2008
Color Scheme: White and light grays
About: Hayden is just too pretty not to use. xD Plus, this set of brushes goes perfectly with this batch of pictures. The quote "I'm a bad, bad cliffhanger" is from one of his earliest ventures, the TV show Higher Ground.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 18
Title: Sith Happens
Featuring: Hayden Christensen
Life: August 20, 2007 - April 20, 2008
Color Scheme: Blue, Black & White
About: I wanted something snarky and fun. I also wanted another Hayden layout, since I haven't had one in over a year, and I heart him dearly. The image used in this layout is from an old-ish set (2005), but it's easily my favorite Hayden photo shoot.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 17
Title: True Love
Featuring: Westley from The Princess Bride
Life: June 18, 2007 - August 20, 2007
Color Scheme: Grayscale and blue.
About: Lately I've been obsessed with The Princess Bride. Have you noticed that's how I start most of my layout descriptions? Anyway, Westley was probably my first hollywood crush. He's also the most awesome pirate ever, about even with Jack Sparrow. Westley was the beginning of my love for pirates. And let's just say it... back in the day, Cary Elwes was ridiculously hot. Not so much now, but in the 80's and early 90's? Heck effing yes. And that accent? Oh my God! Amazing. I heart him. Anyway, the quote is also from the movie, when he and Buttercup were reunited, and she claimed that he was dead. Thus, "Death cannot stop true love. It can only delay it for a while."

Title: The Road of the Dead
Featuring: The cover art for "The Road of the Dead" by Kevin Brooks.
Life: April 26, 2007 - June 18, 2007
Color Scheme: White, red and pink.
About: Well, As much as I very dearly loved my Gale Harold layout and was sad to see it go, Fuzzy Nerd desperately needed a makeover. I had just finished reading the book that this layout is based off of, and decided... what the heck? I couldn't think of anything that I really wanted to do a layout for that I hadn't done before, so The Road of the Dead it was. Some of you may recognize the quote on the header, either from Shakespeare himself or from the fact that it was the theme quote for my 2006 NaNoWriMo novel. I just saw it and thought it fit. So here you have it. Kevin Brooks and William Shakespeare. Nifty, eh?
Fuzzy Nerd Version 15
Title: The Face of God
Featuring: Gale Harold
Life: February 8, 2007 - April 26, 2007
Color Scheme: Greyscale
About: This was possibly my favorite layout, um, ever. It was during my "OMFG GALE HAROLD = GOD" phase. I'm still kind of in that phase. Always will be I think. Why? Because he's ridiculously sexy and totally amazing as Brian Kinney on Queer As Folk. I found a series of black and white promotional pictures and just *had* to use them. I adore this one with the paper clip. Also, I've never had a real background before, I've just used various colors. This time I used subtle gray stripes for the main background. The title comes from a quote from the first episode of QAF, "I just saw the face of God. And his name is Brian Kinney."
Fuzzy Nerd Version 14
Title: My Sunshine
Featuring: Justin Taylor of Queer As Folk (portrayed by Randy Harrison)
Life: December 29, 2006 - February 8, 2007
Color Scheme: Greyscale
About: Well, I have recently acquired an obsession with the TV show Queer As Folk (see the 15th Ethan/Jasen conversation as to why), and I decided it was only fitting to use my favorite character (Justin) for the new layout. I just love his transforation from the happy-go-lucky, naive little Brian-stalker into a mature, independant young man. Plus he's got to be the most adorable thing ever. XD I can't even look at him or listen to him talk without going, "awwww!" Why does Brian have to be a freaking jerk to him all the time? Ah well, he learns his lesson in the end. The title and the quote in the upper right corner are take-offs of Debbie's nickname for him; Sunshine.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 13:
Title: Something Wicked
Featuring: Sam and Dean Winchester of Supernatural
Life: November 17 - December 29 (2006)
Color Scheme: Various shades of blue and black
About: I <3 Supernatural. Seroiusly. Dean and Sam are totally *rawr*. But that really doesn't have much impact on why I like the show. It *does* however, have an impact on why I made this layout. XD I only feature the rawrnessest of guys on Fuzzy Nerd. ;-) The title of the layout comes from a first season episode title.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 12:
Title: Beauty
Featuring: Sayuri from Memoirs of a Geisha
Life: October 23 - November 17 (2006)
Color Scheme: Blackish pink with light pink fonts (Trebuchet MS)
About: I'm a huge fan of the Memoirs of a Geisha book, and of the movie as well. I think it's a beautiful love story, representing what lengths people will go to for true love, and this picture of Sayuri is absolutely gorgeous. XD I think geisha are, in general, very beautiful, and misrepresented in Western culture. "Geisha" means "Arist", after all, and this picture represents that. I was forced to change the layout because the image started messing up on me. X_X It was fine the next day (interestingly), but I was so frustrated I started to make a new layout anyway. Though I did really, truly love this one.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 11:
Title: "Villain of the Story"
Featuring: Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor (Smallville)
Life: September 30 - October 23 (2006)
Color Scheme: Charcoal gray with black text (Century Gothic).
About: As much as I love me some Jack Sparrow, I think I love Lex Luthor even more. *Ducks for fear of Jack fans*. This was created two days after the Smallville Season Six premier, in which I fell madly in love with the smexyness of this man again. Seriously. Isn't he so nice to look at? Plus, he's a maniacle genius! MANIACLE! Insane! And did I mention filthy rich? RICH! Maniacle Genius + Crazy + Rich = Sexy in my book. XD
Fuzzy Nerd Version 10:
Title: "The Devil vs. Captain Jack"
Featuring: Captain Jack Sparrow
Life: August 7, 2006 - September 30, 2006
Color Scheme: blue-ish green with black text (Georgia).
About: Well, I had always wanted to do a Jack Sparrow layout, and I decided the perfect opportunity would come after Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was released. The line used in the graphic, "Not even Jack Sparrow can best the Devil", was used near the end of the movie by a member of Davey Jones's crew.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 9:
Title: "Pathway To Hell"
Featuring: Michael Scofield from "Prison Break" (Wentworth Miller)
Life: April 29, 2006 - August 7, 2006
Color Scheme: black and pinkish-red, with Palatino Linotype font.
About: I'm a huge Prison Break fanatic, and when I found this picture, I just had to use it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he's ridiculously hot. *grin* Seriously though, he's amazing, and he does a great job in the show, and those tattoos are friggin awesome. I named it "Pathway To Hell" because that's what the character Haywire (a paranoid schitzophrenic) said about Michael's Tattoos, in episode four of season one.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 8:
Title: "Different"
Featuring: Elijah Wood
Life: February 16 - April 29 (2006)
Color Scheme: black and white, with the fonts FFF Harmony and Verdana.
About: I adore Elijah Wood. He's brilliant, funny and a bloody fantastic actor. I used this image in one of my favorite wallpapers that I've made. I used his quote, "I think being different, going against the grain of society, is the greatest thing in the world", which is where the title comes from.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 7:
Title: Untitled
Featuring: Hayden Christensen
Color Scheme: tan and black, with Arial font.
Life: December ? - February 16, 2006
About: Well, I am a big Hayden Christensen fan and was hesitant to do a layout with him since I've already done a Star Wars and a Life As A House layout, but I was experimenting with my mom's Picture It program with this picture, and when it came out, I just absolutely loved it. This layout is very different from the others I've done, and it's probably my favorite. It's simple, but it's so awesome. I experimented with link styles and transparencies. This is my third table layout in a row.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 6:
Title: Fall Apart
Featuring: Castledoor (Indie band from CA)
Color Scheme: white and gray, using 'Georgia' font.
Life: November - December '05 (short lived, I know)
About: Another table layout, helped along by pixelfx.org. About a week before this layout went live, I heard what would become one of my absolute favorite albums ever... "Fall Apart" by Castledoor. I had been listening to Castledoor nearly non-stop, since they're such great writing music, and during the month of November I had been on NaNoWriMo.org working on my novel. That band, and the song, provided me with so much inspiration, and I believe it was partly responsible for the ending of my novel. heh.
Fuzzy Nerd Version 5:
Title: Rain
Featuring: Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin
Color Scheme: various shades of gray. fonts: Tempus Sans ITC, and Fine Hand
Life: September - November '05
About: Being that Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands, and I absolutely adore the song "Rain" I decided to use Ben Burnley and the lyrics of Rain for this layout. This is my second table layout, and I used it so that my best friend can actually see the website (she doesn't have IE6 and her compy can't support frames).
Fuzzy Nerd Version 4:
Title: I Want You To Love Me
Life: ?
Featuring: Hayden Christensen portraying the character Sam Monroe in the movie "Life As A House"
Color Scheme: black and white. Fonts used: Courier and Bickley Script
About: "Life As A House" is my favorite movie ever, and Sam Monroe is my favorite character in the movie. "Life As A House" is the kind of movie that can make you laugh hysterically, and sob incesantly five minutes later. I absolutely adore the entire storyline, and his whole persona. I was also impressed with Hayden's portrayal of him, and decided to go check out all his movies. ha. ("Shattered Glass" is another good one, and of course "Star Wars III"). So this layout features one of my favorite quotes, between Sam and his father (George, portrayed by Kevin Kline).
Sam: So, what, were you trying to get me to LIKE you??
George: No, I was trying to get you to love me.
Sam: Well congradulations! You f---ing pulled it off!!
Fuzzy Nerd Version 3
Title: Innocence Undone
Featuring: The picture on the left is Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala as they kiss on their wedding in Episode II. The banner up top has a picture I made of Anakin from Star Wars Episode II and in the background you can see a silhouette of Darth Vader from Episode III. yeah, I made it so don't steal it. ;)
Color Scheme: The colors specially match the Anakin/Darth Vader banner at the top. The background is #a28c63, the text is #3f372c, and the links are #e0c18a. The font is Verdana.
Life: ?
About: Ever since I saw Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, my obsession with Star Wars (which has been pretty much dormant since 2003) returned in full force, stronger than ever. I have become absolutely obsessed with the angsty story that is The Tragedy of Darth Vader, and the bittersweet love story between Anakin and Padme. The graphic up top is one of my absolute favorites that I've made. Its a very soft, warm kind of feel, but the silhouette of Darth Vader makes it look kind of like a prophecy of things to come, the beast inside the man you could say. Innocence Undone.
wow. Do you think my obsession with SW is too much? hmm...naaaaaaaw...
Fuzzy Nerd Version 2
Title: You And Me
Featuring: Lifehouse. a collage of pictures from their website, transparified in different ways and then made speckled with Picture It. muahaha.
Color Scheme: orange and red, the top banner has yellow, red and orange mixed in. Font = Comic Sans MS
Life: ?
About: I experimented with IFrames on this layout. I wanted something bright and colorful, so my first thought was "ORANGE!". I had just gotten the new Lifehouse CD, and it was all I'd been listening to, so who better to put on the top graphic?
Fuzzy Nerd Version 1
Title: Green Hawk
Featuring: Hawk Nelson.
Color Scheme: black and green. font = Andy.
Life: December 04 (I think)
About: This was the first layout I ever made, and it was a table layout. I have no idea what made me do Hawk Nelson, but my favorite colors are green and black. I saw the Hawk picture and thought it was wicked awesome, so I saved it. I was playing with it, and seeing what colors I could make it, and it turned out a really cool green that matched my text perfectly, so it stayed that way.
